From the compilation of workshops and ovens built in this emplacement by “Els Escaiola”, it has only been possible to preserve the underground part. The ovens are Moorish-typed and were firstly used to bake popular-use pottery and auxiliary materials for construction, but from the 19th century, they were used to bake moulding pieces of ornamental architecture. Currently, it is possible to visit the workshop with the two ovens at its ends and get to know its history and functioning through the information panels distributed all around the place.
Visits are available during business hours. More information at Museu d’Història de Sabadell. |
