Casa Fàbrica Turull is a kind of building consisting of both working spaces and living spaces. It is one of the few buildings of Sabadell’s industrial past that are still preserved and was built by Pau Turull i Font in 1819. However, in 1860, the interior underwent renovation due to visit of Queen Isabella II of Spain. Then, in 1865, the building’s outside was renovated by a general contractor called Josep Lacueva, who gave it an austere appearance in contrast to the interior’s magnificence.

Nowadays, it is possible to visit the noble rooms of this building, divided in a ground floor and a first floor. In the ground floor, there is a hall, a guest room called “sala pompeiana”, a dining room and a smoking room, all of them still containing the original tiled floors, wall paintings and coffered ceilings. In the first floor there are living rooms and guest rooms containing original decorations and part of the furniture from the past, even though some rooms like the chapel and the office look more like a romantic space due to a renovation the building underwent in the 1960s and to its adaptation for museum purposes. Currently, it is the Art Museum of Sabadell.
