Fills de Pere Balsch factory was built between 1942 and 1948 at the building plot located at Prats de Lluçanès road, where there used to be a velodrome. In the 1950s, Cal Balsach was consolidated as one of the biggest and major companies specialised in wool clothes for women. The economic crisis in the 1970s obliged the factory to close.
The building restoration that has been carried out consists of renovating and rehabilitating the central part of the old factory while protecting the building’s original structure in order to set the new community and sports centre of Creu Alta. The size of the constructed area is of 1,452 square metres.
